Lori Selby is an Associate Professor of Computer Information Systems at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She serves as CIS’s Director of Student Internships and has designed and developed websites for area businesses. Serving on numerous academic committees, Lori assists with accreditation reports, Blackboard Ultra product development, maintaining guidelines to meet accessibility compliance, and reviewing academic proposals and changes for the university catalog.
Lori has developed computer information systems curricula and courses used by the academic programs, each providing a successful academic pathway and career opportunities in information technology. She has developed program problems and was a judge in the Arkansas Programming Contest, sponsored by Acxiom. In addition, she attends conferences and webinars to enhance professional development, maintain relevancy in the IT field, and collaborate with IT professional educators.
As a partner in PTC Production Incorporated, an agricultural business, she has computerized field operations for production and compliance with state regulators. Lori serves on the Southeast Arkansas Regional Workforce Advisory Council and has worked with area high school students on STEM collaboration.
Lori graduated from Baylor University with a B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems in 1981 and an M.B.A. from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1983. Lori and her husband, Chris Selby, reside in Monticello, Arkansas. They have two daughters, Sydney and Lauren, and one granddaughter, Remi.
