As RevUnit co-founder and CTO, Michael Paladino has assembled and managed a renowned team of software developers that have shaped the Bentonville tech company into one of the most successful startups in the nation.
RevUnit grew by 393 percent from 2015 to 2017, landing it on the “Inc. 5000” list of the fastest-growing private companies in the nation for the 2nd year in a row. The sustained growth, which includes a key partnership with Walmart and work for companies such as AutoZone and Purina, can largely be attributed to Paladino’s steady hand and his commitment to hiring top tech talent. In a company where culture and creativity go hand-in-hand, Paladino is responsible for ensuring that team members are aligned to company values. That means conducting cross-functional interviews and ensuring that regardless of the role (product owner, UX designer, or developer), the individual is a good fit for RevUnit’s culture and long-term strategies.
Paladino has helped RevUnit establish its award-winning culture (the company has been named one of Arkansas’s Best Places to Work for three consecutive years), and RevUnit has developed a reputation in the tech community in northwest Arkansas as a growing development shop that attracts the best developers.
Now, after six years of building the technology team, he’s shifted focus to leading RevUnit into an exploration of artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies.
Paladino, a University of Arkansas, Walton College of Business graduate, began his career as a software developer for Data-Tronics, the IT division of Fort Smith-based trucking giant ArcBest. He worked for Eagle One in Fort Smith before moving to Rockfish Interactive before starting RevUnit.
Michael Paladino is a past president of the Northwest Arkansas Tech Council and was chairman of the 2016 Northwest Arkansas Tech Summit, one of the largest tech conferences in the region. He works with the Bentonville High School Ignite Professional Studies program and provided key leadership and curriculum direction for the University of Arkansas Global Campus IT Readiness program. Both programs help to ensure that students are better prepared for tech jobs.
He is frequently requested as an event speaker, presenting to such groups as NWA Women in Technology and at various tech events and meetups across the state and region. He has been vice chairman of SAKE, a student-run nonprofit business at the UA Walton College of Business. He is also active in the media ministry at his church, Grace Point Church in Bentonville.
